"Not before 9T will I wear the hat 4 the Roses again" is what Alan Wren, better known as Reni, has apparently said to the NME in response to the "Stone Roses to reform" stories which came out yesterday. should it be legitimate contact from Reni, then i am surprised he has bothered really; he has kept himself to himself of late and surely if the story is untrue then this London (innit) press conference on Tuesday will put the story away once again. then again, since Reni left the band first as was replaced by the able, talented yet just not Reni Robbie Maddix, there kind of exists the option that "the other 3" are intent on going ahead anyway.
i very much doubt that last scenario. as far as i am aware at least Ian and certainly Mani remain in contact with Reni, it is hard to believe that they would reform without him unless he was cool with it; if he was cool with it then why would he issue a statement against it?
i shall bring you more denials as and when they surface, or who knows maybe news of a partial get together on Tuesday.
