the wrong joker

hi there

one of the oddest things about America, or rather North America, is how they rejected England and its monarchy in favour of being a Republic, yet for some reason seek to establish their own version of "royalty".

for some the Kennedy family shall forever be the American Royal Family, perhaps to be replaced by the Obamas if Barack can perform some miracles whilst still in office. others would say the Chairman of the Board, Frank Sinatra, was the one and only choice of Royal figure to bow before. then, of course, there is The King, Elvis Presley.

if i were to name such a figure for the Americans, surely the choice would be Jack Nicholson. i mean, he is usually front row centre at all major American events - note how badly the Oscars have fallen since he now refuses to go, for instance.

Jack Nicholson might for some, if you recall one of his more famous if not best roles, be seen as the Court Joker rather than its king. as with all Shakespearian jesters, though, he is not someone to offend or upset. some people don't seem to get this, as you may see below.

oh dear! i suspect that this is a very clever "photo shop" thing, but you never know, the look on King Jack's face says that maybe this really happened!

if you happen to see Mr Nicholson on your travels, you are advised to probably not trouble him in the way above!

be excellent to each other!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
