Manic Street Preachers - Generation Terrorists 20th Anniversary Edition

blimey, has it really been 20 years since the Manics' first album proper came out? i guess so, since the band have announced the issuing of a 20th anniversary edition!

the cover, as you would expect, looks pretty much like the original, except of course for a big massive sticker announcing "previously unreleased" stuff contained within.

inside, as you can see, it's pretty much followed the pattern of the magnificent Suede reissues, with it all being in a cardbord foldout box. indeed, two other Manics anniversary editions looked like this. this is probably going to annoy collectors hoping for a more uniform approach, the last three special editions from the band taking a "book" format.

still, there's no faulting how lovely it looks inside.

i cannot work out from the above exactly what's on the DVD - many of us are hoping for a concert from the era instead of just the same videos yet again. as for the extra track, well "DEMO TAPES" in big letters is hard to ignore, isn't it? actually, the full track listing for the CDs can be found here if you're interested.

i know only a couple of the pages are visible, but is it just me or are they trying to exclude Sean Moore from the images? i mean, sure, it was a drum machine and not him on the record, but he was in the band and did play live?

this wasn't my favourite album, but i am sure i shall be getting this anyway!

be excellent to each other!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
