Frankie Say Confuse (and indeed titillate) The Fans......

hey everyone

many thanks to the wonderful people on the Frankie Goes To Hollywood forum for keeping an eye out on developments with the greatest band ever in the history of music. that said, for residents of London, it would perhaps have been difficult to miss the appearance of these posters.....

what's going on? have the five members of Frankie, 22 years later, decided to get it on again and move forward? wishful thinking.......

the general suspicion is that this is early promo work for the (much anticipated) Frankie box set, on the way in November of this year. as anticipated as the box set is, there seems to be disappointment ahead - a 3 CD set, 1 x Greatest Hits, 1 x "remixes", 1 x "rarities". erm, yeah - most Frankie fans will have the first two, and there surely must be more than 1 cd's worth of rarities of the band? there's a stack of unreleased live recordings for a start!

chances of the band getting together are slim. there was a bizarre rumour of it earlier in the year, but all from the band who could be bothered to speak spoke against it.

if there are any more sightings or developments i will be sure to put them up here; in the mean time, get ready. October shall mark the 25th anniversary of the release of Welcome To The Pleasuredome, an album that absolutely everyone on earth should own (it would make the world a better place), i would expect a lengthy retrospective to be posted here around then....

in the mean time, whatever it is that Frankie wishes to say, i very much wish to hear it............
