hi there
"there won't be snow in Africa this Christmas time". so sang that twat Bono (or similar, possibly even Sting) at the behest of Sir Bob Geldof and The Lord Of Ure, Earl Midge. the folly of this line has been discussed at length for over 25 years now, but to recap whereas certain areas of North Africa could, theoretically, indeed get snow during Christmas, it is indeed unlikely that Equatorial or Sub-Saharan Africa would, for Christmas falls during the summer months.
a conclusion you may have drawn from the above is that it thus must be winter when the Northern Hemisphere celebrates summer. that conclusion would be correct. whereas we don't have snow near us (some massive mountains do, though), we certainly have frost. witness, if you will, the frozen back window of my wheels.
whereas it is excellent that my class Tony Mowbray sticker shines through the ice, it is somewhat less class getting the ice and frost off the window, to be honest. the one mercy, at least, is that the colder elements of winter here do not last all that long; it's really only this cold for a month or so.
i understand that my car is seldom, if ever, the cleanest beast on the road, but i assure you that this is not dirt on the windows.
if for some reason that escapes me you wish to see more of the frosty ice, or if you will icy frost, on my car, well then here you go!
it would be jolly nice if this ice and frost (or combination thereof) moved on sooner rather than later!
i trust that it is a good deal warmer where you are in the world!
be excellent to each other!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
