i was somewhat curious as to if Middlesbrough would feature on the route of the Olympic torch as it travels around England in a few weeks time. it does indeed!
The Olympic torch stops off in Middlesbrough on the evening of Sunday 17 June 2012 for some sort of celebratory event, and then journeys on to Redcar, Marske and Saltburn on the morning of Monday June 18. splendid!
i have little doubt that the people of the Boro will get involved with this one, applauding its arrival and showing off the best of the town. sorry we are not going to be there!
