well, it was bad enough when some horrid little TV show declared my beloved old home town, Middlesbrough, to be "the worst place in Britain to live". now a complaint about that declaration has given this some sort of official status too. oh dear!
you are welcome to click on the link and see the reasons why this status has been awarded to the place. it is, in fairness, difficult to argue with some of the accusations thrown at the place. how worse that is than any other major town or city centre is something i would consider debatable, but i guess not for those who evaluate such thing!
what the article doesn't mention, however, is that the place is for the most part populated by some of the most wonderful people you could ever hope to meet. a good deal of my family, not to mention some of the finest friends i have ever had, live there.
plus, at least we from there have the ability to laugh at ourselves......
