so, when does a birthday present arrive both late and early? well, it's when your copy of the deluxe edition of Welcome To The Pleasuredome by Frankie Goes To Hollywood arrives 2 or so weeks after your birthday, but 5 or 6 weeks before the actual release date!
there was some mix up with the American branch of Amazon and Salvo, the label issuing this deluxe version. either the record label "forgot" to tell Amazon not to ship before April 12, or they did and Amazon just ignored them and sent it off as soon as stock landed. whatever the reason, mine is here in my hands and on my stereo!
disc one, a "remastered" version of the album (whatever the hell that actually means), has yet to be played, but disc two is awesome! it's full of rarities that i've not stumbled upon anywhere else before, and really wasn't likely to since a number come from the collection of ex-Frankie Mark O'Toole!
i am not keeping the majesty of this excellent CD set to myself. i have allowed Michele to stand within 1 (one) metre of the discs, and indeed have been prepared to let her listen to it whilst she stands in another room. i also proudly held it up for James to see and explained to him that he would be allowed to touch it (once) on the occasion of his 18th birthday. Michele just did her rolling eyes thing; James just wandered off unimpressed and put a whole load of Superman stickers on his chair. let it not be said that i tried to include them; perhaps William will understand.
anyway, i think you know what i am of to listen to..........
be excellent to each other!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
