hey everyone
well, quite by accident James saw the trailer for The Dark Knight - i was watching it and he came into the study to see what Dada was doing. he sort of hides a bit when The Joker is looking rather cross, but let's be honest, who doesn't?
as i do not believe that James is quite the target audience Christopher Nolan has in mind for The Dark Knight, i have instead convinced James (at last) to watch the rather splendid 1966 interpretation of the tales of Gotham's finest, Batman The Movie.
now, he's clever enough to know that this version is somewhat lacking in regards of cool, stunning and at-least-cost-something special effects compared to the current incarnation, but he does manage to watch 20 minutes or so. he, like his father (see earlier posts i think), is dazzled by the scene where Batman manages to have some Bat Shark Repellant handy on the Bat Copter when an exploding Shark tackles Batman out in the middle of the ocean. in fairness, the film is kind of all downhill after that class scene, so it's little wonder that he has me switch back to The Lion King or The Jungle Book not long after that bit.
be excellent to each other!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
