well, rounding off a very busy weekend was Tumelo's birthday party. Tumelo had his party at a rather smart venue called Little Wonderland in Midrand. it has a stack of space for the kids to run around and play in, and all sorts of climbing frames and things that you can jump off of!
but before we get to play time, it's time to wish Tumelo a very happy birthday. a very nice cake for the occasion, James seemed rather enamoured with it!
of all the activities there, James was most taken with the jumping castle. this really does seem to be his favourite of all. i just love this picture that i was fortunate enough to capture!
quite a few children were there from James & Tumelo's school, which seemed to make it all the more fun for them. it also made it somewhat easier to get them all to school on Monday morning too, or so it sounds!
James, needless to say, was rather keen to show all and sundry the correct way to behave on a jumping castle.....
.....and of course illustrate the best way to land when you take one bounce too many!
unfortunately, we only got to spend a couple of hours at the party. James was well and truly worn out from Friday and Saturday, something not helped by his refusal to have a quality nap on Sunday before the party. trust me son, as you get older, you become to appreciate that an afternoon nap is the king of activities! anyway, he ran himself ragged at the party, and then made it clear that he wanted to go home and sleep!
it would be my wish that your weekend was just as fun filled as ours, if not necessarily quite so hectic!
