i was cold as a stone

heya

this is coming to be, or if you like becoming, a regular thing. just last month, from what i recall, i did a post on snow from the month before. here, look you see, i do the same thing again.

last month, then, i, to be sure, had reason to go travelling over or indeed across the plains of Yorkshire; that place widely regarded and accepted as fact as being the most beautiful on the planet. fate, or perhaps a quirk of the seasonal ways, ensured that such travels took place through snow.

quite a few people assume, presume or otherwise think that it must be awesome to live within easy access of the beauty of Yorkshire. indeed, generally it is, but the people i speak of think as they do with specific focus on recreating key scenes from An American Werewolf In London. to this end, i can most decidedly assure you that yes, sticking to the roads (lads) is a very very good idea. what the challenge is, of course, is in keeping to the roads despite the very finest efforts of the ice and snow upon the road.

yes, sure, playing out key scenes from An American Werewolf In London is a key aspect of life in Yorkshire. also other parts of England. why, exactly, for instance, would you ever visit Tottenham Court Road tube station down in that there London to do anything but recreate the famous scene shot there?

indeed, one of them selfie things for you. yes, of me. again, toughies if you don't like them, part of the new way here is that i do. besides, you can look at the lovely background if nothing else.

should we assume for the moment that i was not up, out and on the Moors simply to recreate aspects of An American Werewolf In London despite it being the wrong time of year to do so, what was i doing? nothing that i can discuss here, but nothing untoward. besides, why would you not take a drive that way when the snow was down on the ground?

another scene of the lands covered, if only slightly, in snow for you. no, i was not driving, as point of fact, and so it was perfectly safe and legal (as far as i am aware) for me to have taken these images.

you know what, why not have another picture of me here, along with some quaint and picturesque snow covered Yorkshire in the background.

indeed i am wearing a coat in that snow, and a jumper. yes, i understand that this leaves me open to being accused of being a fanny or, even worse, a "southern softie". well, so be it, for it was cold. also, still snowing, so i thought a jacket with a hood would be prudent so as to keep the watery stuff out of my eyes and away from my glasses.

going on current form, if it snows again this month (March) then in all likelihood it shall be during April that i add the pictures. a bit of a "throwback" or "remember when" approach, i suppose.

well, anyway, that's that for this post. except to say beware the moon, stick to the roads, etc......

be excellent to each other!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
