anniversary of errors

howdy pop pickers

and, indeed, a warm welcome to factual error spotters. this post, as brief as it may be, has something for each of you, look you see.

today, as you would not need me to point out, is the birthday of the second most famous drummer ever to be called Roger Taylor. i speak, of course, of the one out of Duran Duran. and absolutely no disrespect is meant by the secondary status, for who could claim to have the same name and profession as any member out of Queen and somehow be more famous?

such certainly confused the Daily Mirror this time last year. as one of them "throwback" things, here you go, an image of their published "birthday celebration" thing from this very day (April 26) just last year (2021).

yes, it would certainly seem they just went right ahead and did a google, probably "Roger Taylor drummer", and published the first picture that popped up. hence the Roger Taylor out of Queen, rather than Duran Duran, appearing on the page. also, they claim that he, Roger Taylor of Duran Duran, was not a member of the band between 1986 and 1994. in truth he was absent from 1985 all the way up to 2001. but, still, they got his name, vocation and the band he was in right, i guess.

be excellent to each other!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
