unusual spider

hello there

well, this post is pretty much in the title right there above. unless you are reading this upside down. and, of course, except for the pictures which shall follow. sadly no, i did not think to take some video.

anyway, fairly recently i had every reason to be outside momentarily when i noticed a spider. nothing particularly out of the ordinary with that in itself, look you see. except it had a most peculiar pattern to its back. if that part of a spider is called its back. presumably so. unless a spider has expressed a preference for a different name.

illustrating, or showing the spider in the greater good and glory of Commodore 64 mode isn't all that bad an idea, except that it doesn't show off much of the detail. sure you can see quite (reasonably) clearly see the spider, but not the pattern on it.

so, here's just a regular image of it. and by it, i mean the spider.

there's every chance that this pattern found on a spider is reasonably, or if you will quite, common. it is not all that frequently that i see a spider, and when i do i tend not to look for an easily identifiable pattern to it. except of course a red back to it, thanks to me being (at least) partially educated in that there fair dinkum Australia.

presumably, or i would at the very least imagine, there will be some sort of website or "app" thing that i could upload this image to and it would tell me what kind of spider it is. alternatively, i could use that google thing to search "spider with a zebra like pattern" and find out. but i have taken the decision to just rather add images here. not every thing needs to be known.

looking again and maybe it isn't a zebra pattern as such, just some stripes. oh.

reasonably sure it's a spider, mind, for as far as i can see there are 8 (eight) legs present.

be excellent to each other!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
