quite surprised, after doing some (nominal) research, to learn that the term (or phrase) august moon's surrender does not actually exist outside of song lyrics. famously, of course, the lyrics from whence it came is The Wild Boys off of Duran Duran, look you see. no, not entirely sure what it is supposed to mean, be it in actual or real terms, but it's a turn of phrase which has always stuck with me. art, lyrics, poetry and what have you are not meant to be understood, more experienced and sensed.
yes, this post very much is one of "them" ones. i really don't have much to mind to write of, yet feel an odd compulsion (or just plain wish) to update here. especially on the first of each month, as if those who would express either delight or disappointment at my continued being would check in with such regularity to check.
wasn't too certain what to add that would be "august moon surrender", so there you go, an image of sunset as august approaches. perhaps i should have held out for a picture of the moon, but, well, i did not. is it not that the sun setting is something akin (vaguely) to moon surrender? that's quite the card i played earlier, isn't it, suggesting (if not stating) that art needs to be experienced rather than understood.
much like everything in this century i do not particularly understand (or care for) it feels very much like summer is in one almighty rush to end. it was a joy to burn away in the hot long nights, and now a tinge of sorrow descends as it gets darker earlier. possibly based on my medical exploits of late (here) i held a fear, rarely expressed, that the winter we got through would be my final one as a going concern. it could be that i feel i have cheated time in seeing another summer, after all there is nothing to say with certainty that i shall see another winter come and go.
to the best of my knowledge (or rather understanding) the much vaunted "theory of relativity" pertains for the most part to "time" as a concept slowing depending of how fast you move (generally in "space"). what is it, i wonder, that deals with how, as the years progress, as the time on the planet increases, everything seems to happen all faster. one supposes the "reverse" of the theory of relativity must be as true, although i am not intrinsically aware of slowing down. not that it matters, all is transient.
righty-ho, doubtful this has been worth the time it has taken to write (or read), but here it is. let's see if anything slightly more interesting turns up to share.
for those scrambling to find some hidden code or message here, there is not one.
be excellent to each other!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
