Hola a la gente
something of a peculiar update this one, mira que ves. i've been requested to do it, but under the general idea of confidentiality in respect of the source. that i shall protect, para estar seguro.
this mostly, or if you like for the most part, relates to an advert from - i think - the 80s. it's out of South Africa, and it is for that most valuable of products for swimming pools, chlorine. how important? probably second only to water, really. and making sure it doesn't leak.
not just any old advert, mind. no, i am assured that the gentleman in it is a Spaniard, no less. also that it is a Spaniard of some fame and repute. in particular amongst the ladies.
Julio, i do believe that is. or at the least so i have been reliably informed by a source that i would never, ever question. yes, it is he. quite how he came to be the face of pool cleaning equipment within South Africa during the 80s is something that i do not know, or if you like no lo sé.
as part of the arrangement i believe Julio joined the surprisingly large number of artists what "broke the cultural boycott" and played at Sun City, which actually and technically wasn't in South Africa, but rather a place called Bophuthatswana.
how is it that i have this advert? well, the mother of a friend of a friend of a friend was friendly with the mother of the lady you see in the above picture. so, she kept it and along it came my way with the above story.
whilst i would imagine few would be of any particular mind to be interested in this, should i be wrong then i am delighted to help you out with this.
¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡sean excelentes los unos con los otros!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
