got more got less

hello

i would have thought, look you see, that one of the few things in this world that are just as great a gift as Vernon Wells is would be to receive an item which celebrates Vernon Wells. at the risk of going all Dickensian on the subject, it would appear my thoughts in this regard are as correct as they are incorrect.

many of you reading this will be all too aware of my efforts, if you wish to be kind attempts, to celebrate Vernon Wells through a number of mediums. well, two, namely keyrings and magnets. these are things i created to the best level i could despite my limited talents, and i was delighted with the results.

there was slightly less delight expressed by one of the recipients of a celebration of Vernon Wells via magnets and keyrings. in good faith i sent various examples of each to some of my contemporaries. one got quite cross, all uppity and a little bit lippy, expressing a wish, in the strongest terms possible, to receive no such similar items ever again.

yes, i did experience a sense of doubt about my work. receiving such disdain and such distress as a response to gifts that i thought would bring such joy did indeed make me question myself, my worthiness and my value. quite depressing, really. happily, however, another contemporary was as delighted as hoped for, and requested more. which is why the above picture exists.

the contemporary what asked for more, for we shall no longer trouble ourselves with the one who demanded less, was the proud recipient of the one keyring i made which was a 100% celebration of Vernon Wells in the role of Bennett out of Commando. yes, by that i mean both sides of the keyring featured an image. when this contemporary made a request for a keyring which was a 100% celebration of Vernon Wells as Wez out of Mad Max 2, the beats of my heart struck out a most happy tune and i pledged to make such.

since two magnificent images of Vernon Wells as Wez out of Mad Max 2 were available, and considering there was someone in the universe genuinely delighted to receive such, i elected to make some rather splendid magnets too. which you can see in the image above, and below.

one or two of you may well have noticed a rare, non-Vernon Wells celebration. yes, that is correct, one of the keyrings features the greatest sexual practitioner in all of recorded history, David Lee Roth. i seem to recall mentioning in passing that i was considering thinking about making a keyring of him, and so i did. this one is for Spiros, who is just as much an admirer of David Lee Roth as i am. which is a lot.

you could, i suppose, if you were mean, say that to do so is a betrayal; that making one keyring of David Lee Roth means one less keyring celebrating Vernon Wells in the world. a fair allegation or accusation i suppose. there are, however, similarities between the two. well, both of them are most fondly remembered for wearing trousers what have got arse flaps on them.

is there a proper name for trousers what have got arse flaps on them? to be honest i quite like what i call them, as that would seem to describe them perfectly. lets you know that the trousers do that which it says on the box, etc. but some research suggests that some would refer to such trousers as "chaps", or as having "bum flaps". actually, that last one seems to be "butt flaps" for our friends in America. it seems that, quite like their incorrect use of the word "fanny", Americans have some sort of quarrel or issue with "bum" too.  they use the word in a different way in what we do.

do i own a pair of these trousers of unspecified name? no. well, not any more. once, at the verk i was at in the past (as opposed to the future) and over on the other side of the equator, my mate Fraser got hold of some of my trousers and converted them for me. i thought he did a really good job, but i was advised that wearing them was not permissible as they "didn't really fit into the accepted definition of corporate wardrobe". bet it would be a different story if Vernon Wells or David Lee Roth turned up wearing a pair of them, but we have long since established that i am neither of them two.

my suspicion would be that very few people (if any) are actually reading this, instead (wisely) just considering the images of Vernon Wells as Wez out of Mad Max 2. with that being the case, then, let me sign off.

be excellent to each other!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
