well, after his birthday Dad "remembered" (as in Mum reminded him) that it was 40 years ago on his birthday that the two of them got engaged! to mark the occasion, here is a pic of their engagement day / evening!
a rather good scanning job, Dad! didn't take too long to neaten it up to post here! oh, and as you were going to send this to me to scan in an envelope, do i take it as Mum didn't know you were sending it? will leave you to explain that one!
