well, James turned two today!! it really is true, time being relative and all that stuff from Einstein; for time seems to have flown by. no bad thing as it feels like we have a lifetime of wonderful memories already, so roll on the rest of time!
above is the closest that we could get to a family picture, James still being rather reluctant to pose for pictures as such. below is him enjoying his birthday party for today (another tomorrow!), having a bite to eat with his good friend Robbie, son of Linda and possibly of Duncan. Linda has requested that i do not refer to Robbie by the name of Falco, the preferred name for him by Duncan, on this site. so i won't' then!!
and here's James with Grandma, Lyla and the rather smart Finding Nemo birthday cake! there's quite a story behind getting the cake to the party, but i will save that for another time, i think!

and here we are with them demolishing the birthday cake - as you can see, there is some sort of magic ingredient in it that Lyla really loves!!

James and Robbie do get on rather well, we the parents will have to make more effort to get together on a regular basis. if Robbie and James become as good friends as myself and Duncan are, and there's a long list of scrapes believe me, then they will have done well in this world!
